Slip into your pinkest, sexiest attire, come down to Broad Hall, and get ready to oink, twirl, and sweat it out to sultry house beats all night long. Our special guest DJ Lorant from New York City will be dishing the beats. Opening will be Resident DJ Redevil.
Lorant, born in Istanbul and raised in New York, channels the energy of both cities into his music. In 2010, he founded Royal Advisor Records (RAR), a 12-year project supporting queer artists through innovative collaborations with names like The Illustrious Blacks, Boys’ Shorts, and Severino (Horse Meat Disco).
As a DJ, Lorant has played venues from Brooklyn’s BASEMENT and Good Room to London’s Royal Vauxhall Tavern, LA’s Eagle, and San Francisco’s Folsom and Dore Alley festivals. His monthly Rockstrap party in NYC’s West Village, now in its sixth year, is a staple event, and he is also a regular at The Eagle NYC.
Blending spacey tribal house and deep techno, Lorant continues to grow his presence, with recent highlights including his single “Rooms,” inspired by the dawn light of afterhours dance floors.
In the Foundation Lounge, The Nightowl will be spinning house and disco classics all night long.
