On Saturday, October 11, 2025, Porkroll Party is happy to bring the renowned London-based DJ collective Horse Meat Disco to Broad Hall in Philadelphia during the Our Fest weekend celebrations!
Known for their vibrant blend of classic disco, house, and Italo sounds, Horse Meat Disco brings their signature inclusive and high-energy party atmosphere to the City of Brotherly Love. This event promises an unforgettable night of dancing and celebration. We will have three different rooms with 6 DJs.
Founded in 2004 at The Eagle in Vauxhall by James Hillard and Jim Stanton, and later joined by Severino Panzetta and Luke Howard, the group sought to create a space that celebrated disco's roots in queer and marginalized communities. The accidental phenomenon of Horse Meat is built on the shared good vibrations and aesthetics of their genre. Their Sunday night parties in London quickly became legendary, blending classic disco, Italo, house, and punk-funk to craft a sound that is both nostalgic and forward-thinking.
With residencies in cities like New York, Berlin, and London, and performances at major festivals such as Pink Block in San Francisco, Glastonbury and Tomorrowland, Horse Meat Disco has established itself as a global ambassador for disco culture. Beyond the dance floor, Horse Meat Disco has made significant contributions to the music industry through their acclaimed compilations on Glitterbox and Defected Records.
By fostering a community that embraces diversity and freedom of expression, Horse Meat Disco continues to influence and inspire the global dance music scene.
